Motivation

Do I enjoy being lazy, eating a coconut donut for breakfast, tacos for lunch, and a calzone for dinner? Heck yeah! Do I love playing board games all day with my friends while drinking beer and ordering takeout? Yes! After working 56 hours per week are the only things I want to do on a Friday night are order a pizza and have a glass of wine with my husband? You bet.

You know what I hate though? Avoiding looking in mirrors because I am embarrassed about what I see. I hate feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I hate constantly having to adjust my clothes because they're too tight, are pinching, or just feel wrong. I hate not being able to buy a cocktail dress and look great in it. I hate buying over-sized shirts just to hide all the rolls and fat that I want to get rid of. I hate having my picture taken and seeing two chins.

Nothing in life worth having comes easy. If something feels easy and comfortable you should get nervous real quick. Laziness and bad habits got me to the point I'm at so it is fair to assume that hard work and good habits will get me back to where I want to be. Things worth having require effort. I am really proud of myself for being halfway through a second round of Whole30. I am 1.7 pounds away from moving down into the next 10-pounds range: a range I have not been in for quite some time. My clothes are getting looser, my body feels lighter, and I'm starting to appreciate what I see in the mirror a bit more.

Keep it up everyone! Find what motivates you, remember why you committed to this lifestyle, and go out there and do your absolute best!
