Coffee & NutPods
One of the few things I was most hesitant to give up when beginning my first round of Whole30 was Splenda. I am fine without any dairy in my coffee but I NEED a Splenda to take the edge off the bitterness of coffee. But, sticking true to the plan, I gave it up anyway. Black coffee is not as horrible as I thought. One Splenda is the only thing that separated me from drinking black coffee anyway so the transition wasn't that bad.
Since Pintrest is such a great website for discovering new things I was looking up various grocery lists of people's go-to products and came across The 10 Best Whole30-Approved Products by Melissa Hartwig. This is how I discovered NutPods. I thought it might be nice to having something in my coffee since I had given up Splenda. It took some time but I managed to find some in my local Wegmans. Today is my first cup of coffee with the Hazelnut NutPod and I have to say it is really good! Most syrup flavorings are so sugary that they're almost unbearable. This creamer is nice and light and adds a perfectly subtle flavor to my coffee.
For anyone interested in trying NutPods and cannot find them in your local grocery store they are available on Amazon.
For those of you reading the ingredients list on the NutPods and are questioning the Phosphate please refer to Whole30's Common Additives Cheat Sheet.
Another shout-out to Catalyst for Change Wear for making such amazing mugs and representing Maine in such an awesome way! A portion of all of their sales goes to an organization dedicated to suicide prevention.
